What Is Ancillary Equipment?

(Auxiliary)Ancillary equipment refers to the supporting machinery that works alongside core plastics processing equipment. These systems don't process the plastics themselves, but they create the optimal conditions needed for efficient and accurate production.

Typical examples include:
Material Dryers – Remove moisture from plastic granules before processing.
Dehumidifiers – Maintain low dew points, especially important for hygroscopic materials.
Chillers and Temperature Controllers – Regulate mould and material temperatures to ensure part consistency and reduce cycle times.
Material Loaders and Conveyors – Automate the transfer of plastic pellets from storage to processing machines.
Granulators – Recycle scrap material by grinding it down into reprocessable feedstock.
