1. Unpacking and Inspection: Upon receipt of the extrusion die, verify that the packaging is intact. Remove the packing list and inspect the contents. Check for technical documents (such as the instruction manual) and inventory all items-including the main die assembly, accessories, and specialized tools-against the packing list.
2. Technical Standards and Design Specifications: Extrusion components-particularly those used for materials like modified PVC-are generally made from corrosion-resistant materials (such as stainless steel) and heat-treated to a hardness exceeding HRC24 to ensure a satisfactory service life. Surfaces must be free from defects such as dents, scratches, burrs, foreign matter, or rust. The working surfaces of the die, calibrator, and related parts must be smooth. Abrupt changes in cross-section and areas where material might stagnate should be avoided as much as possible. The flow channel system within the die head must ensure a smooth transition along the direction of melt flow. The repeatability error for the positioning of mating die plates during assembly and disassembly must not exceed 0.03 mm; all mating and joining surfaces must fit tightly, and reliable positioning mechanisms must be provided between plates, with local gaps not exceeding 0.02 mm.
Water and air systems within the unit must remain isolated from one another. Water connections, cooling systems, and vacuum systems for the calibrator must function correctly and be free from leaks. Vacuum line connectors must be clearly marked and positioned so as not to interfere with pipeline connections.
