1. Equipment specifications and production capacity: The size and production capacity of the equipment are important factors that determine its price. Generally speaking, large-scale, high-capacity granulating machinery is relatively expensive. For example, large plastic granulating machines have larger barrel volumes, stronger power, and higher screw speeds, and these components have higher manufacturing costs, so they are relatively expensive. Small laboratory granulating machines are only suitable for experimental granulation of a small amount of materials due to their small specifications and relatively simple functions, so their prices are much lower. From the perspective of production capacity, granulating machines with high hourly output require higher technical requirements and larger parts in design and manufacturing to meet production, so the cost is higher. For example, the price difference between industrial large-scale production granulators and low-capacity equipment used in small handicraft workshops is significant.
2. Equipment brand and quality: Granulating machines of different brands vary in price. Equipment from well-known brands often have higher standards in manufacturing processes, raw material selection, quality control, etc., which makes their product quality more reliable, performance more stable, and prices are usually higher. High-quality equipment invests more costs in component selection and processing accuracy. For example, the use of special stainless steel materials for barrels or molds, high-precision screw and mold processing will increase the manufacturing cost of the equipment, thus affecting the price.
3. Raw material types and processing technology: Different raw materials require different processing technologies for granulation, and the corresponding equipment configuration is also different, which will affect the price. Taking the plastic granulator as an example, if ordinary polyethylene plastics are processed, the equipment requirements are relatively low; but if it is to process high temperature, high hardness or engineering plastics with special chemical properties, it is necessary to equip it with a special heating system, wear-resistant screws and barrels, and a more precise temperature control system, and the equipment cost will be significantly increased. For some new processing technologies, such as equipment using supercritical fluid-assisted granulation technology, its R&D cost and manufacturing cost are higher, and the price will be much more expensive than traditional equipment. In addition, the difficulty of raw material processing will also affect the price. For example, if complex pre-treatment or post-processing procedures are required, the equipment needs to add corresponding functional modules, which will lead to price increases.
4. Market supply and demand relationship: The supply and demand situation in the market has a certain impact on the price of granulators. When market demand exceeds supply, such as when a new plastic processing industry or fertilizer manufacturing industry in a certain region develops rapidly, the demand for granulators increases greatly, and manufacturers may increase product prices to obtain more profits. On the contrary, when the economic situation is not good or there are too many granulator manufacturers in the same period, resulting in an oversupply in the market, in order to attract customers, manufacturers often lower prices or provide more preferential policies. For example, in the initial stage of some emerging environmentally friendly material granulation industries, due to the rapid growth of market demand and the insufficient supply of granulators, the prices of related equipment may rise in the short term; and during the economic recession, the overall demand for manufacturing industry decreases, and the market price of granulators may face downward pressure.
