There are many methods for measuring the power of stirring equipment, but the range of use depends on the size of the device. Two measurement methods with smaller errors are described below.

1, Motor torque measurement method

This method is applicable to smaller scale stirring systems. The working principle is as follows: When the motor is working, the electromagnetic moment acting on the motor rotor and the electromagnetic moment acting on the motor stator are always equal in size and opposite directions. Therefore, as long as the torque acting on the stator is measured, the torque acting on the rotor is measured, and the frictional torque on the rotor bearings is subtracted to measure the actual torque of the stirring equipment. From the torque and stirring speed, the stirring power can be calculated.

The turntable is fixed on the housing of the motor. The motor and the turntable are supported on the bracket by thrust bearings. The torque received by the motor housing (stator) is balanced by the torque formed by the tangential lead of the turntable. The magnitude of the pulling force is measured by the weight on the balance through the pulley. The product of the weight reading and the radius of the turntable is the torque acting on the rotor.

2, strain measurement method

This method uses a dynamic strain gauge to measure the torque of the stirring shaft and calculate the power of the stirring equipment. The basic principle is that the torque of the stirring shaft is proportional to the shear. As long as the magnitude of the shear strain on the outer surface of the stirring shaft is measured, the torque can be calculated. This method is suitable for agitation systems with large measurement power.

According to the conversion relationship between torque and shear strain, after processing the data, the torque value of the stirring shaft can be conveniently obtained, and then the friction torque at the seal, bearing, etc. measured by the no-load experiment can be deducted to obtain the real time The amount of torque consumed.
